Plentific is a online portal for homeowners to find their next home professional; plumber, handyman, interior designer, surveyor, electrician, swimming pool specialist and just about everything else. It's one of UK's biggest portal of its kind and help thousands find their next home professional. I was part of building it from scratch. I started as an intern in March 2014. By May 2016 I was Lead Design for the company of about 60 people and I kept going for years. We built an online platform for tens of thousands of people and turned it into a lucrative business. My part was UI/UX and overall all the design as I was the only designer for almost 3 years.
We ask enough relevant questions so that when a Pro previews the job, they can accurately provide a quote for the job, making sure the customer feels comfortable prior to the pro showing up for the job.
Let's say they post a job. We ask enough relevant questions so that when a Pro previews the job, they can accurately provide a quote for the job, making sure the customer feels comfortable prior to the pro showing up for the job.
Going through the post-a-job flow as a customer
Relevant, local professinals get SMS and email notification for this job. They react by reading the job details and sending a quote. We built a strong foundation of emails and relevant notifications for the Pro. They can also install our app and get it native in their phone.
Landing pages, constantly updated
To make customers be able to find professionals, we had to build a platform that would be interesting for professionals to sign up to. We built a B2B dashboard where they could upload their services, logo, header image, years in practice, projects that they've done, branches they have, team members. The dashboard is where they log in and receive enquiries. It's easy to access through a mobile, tablet or desktop. Here they can start conversations with customers, call customers, get support from our concierges, respond to reviews and edit their company information. This is where they edit their name, service area, services, logotype, awards, description, etc. For Pros to run their whole business with Plentific. We also built all the features one might need to run the whole operation: marketing (their own website), invoices (internal and external), wallet, users, customer database, jobs, reviews and more.

We needed an analytics tool so that our customers could see their usage. Here's my breakdown of how it got built.

Difficult to summarize 3 years as a lone designer at a product company in London, but we built a lot, and it turned out great.
